Rescue Engine runs working fire in Accokeek
Sun. Jan 15th 2012

Tonight at 1809hrs, Rescue Engine 40 along with Engine Companies 24 (Accokeek), Charles 12 (Waldorf), 32 (Allentown Road), Charles Truck 3 (Waldorf), Charles Truck 11 (Bryans Road), Rescue Squad 47 (Allentown Road/Silesia) and Battalion Chief 5 were alerted to Accokeek Road and Livingston Road for the reported house fire. Rescue Engine 40 responded with six personnel. Engines 241 and 242 arrived on the scene to find a two story single family dwelling with heavy fire showing from the second floor. The working fire dispatch was then sounded for Charles Ambulance and Paramedic 11 (Bryans Road), Battalion Chief 7 and the Northern Safety Officer. Chief 24B established the Livingston Road command on arrival. Once on the scene, the Rescue Engine's crew assisted on the secondary search of the fire building. The fire was placed under control at 1828hrs. Rescue Engine 40 cleared at 1858hrs.
